sword art online

sword art online is the first anime i ever watched. i know it gets a lot of hate, but it has a special place in my heart!! i think a lot of that is because i'd been wanting to try virtual reality since i first heard about it in 2016, and i got my first headset in 2018. when covid happened, i felt like i had so much time to play vr, and it was like escaping to another world, better than the one i had before while i played. i got recommended sword art online by a friend who heard i'd been playing vr, and i gave it a watch. since then, i've been wanting vr to advance more and more, and one day maybe have full dive be a reality. as much as people hate on the story and the charatcers of sao, i really like the idea of being able to escape this world into a fantasy one, which unlike most isekai, actually seems like it could happen one day.
